Applying the long view to a project to enhance oral health in East Africa

This presentation will discuss various collaborations for oral health in emerging countries. We will also present the import of another countries' program for adaptation in the United States.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have worked with an NGO in Tanzania on a large-scale oral health project for 5 years; and worked collaboratively with government officials, university and hospital administration. I have been closely involved with the refurbishing of the only dental school in the region and the development of a model rural health clinic, the first of which was installed in Zanzibar in 2012. I continue to serve on the health care advisory board for the NGO.
