There are a variety of medical conditions for which screening has been shown to be effective and for which screening tools are available. This presentation will review the most well validated and for some, most widely used, screening tools and how they could be used in dental settings.

Discuss medical screenings that oral healthcare workers should consider conducting. Discuss potential impact of screening for patients. Describe available, well-validated screening tools.
