Publishing in the multidisciplinary field of maternal child health presents challenges for authors, reviewers and editors alike. Editors seek to achieve a balance within articles, issues and over the course of a year that meets the needs of an audience with diverse interests. Authors play a key role in positioning their submission to meet these varied needs.

I am a former editor of the MCH Journal. I received my PhD in Personality and Developmental Psychology and an MPH in Maternal and Child Health and Epidemiology from Harvard University.
