Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Jerry Avorn, MD, is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His research focuses on the benefits, risks, and costs of medications, and strategies to improve the use and outcomes of prescription drugs. Dr. Avorn is the author or co-author of over 450 papers, and of “Powerful Medicines: The Benefits, Risks, and Costs of Prescription Drugs,” now in its 11th printing.
