Presentation will provide history on Rural Healthy People Project, results from Rural Healthy People 2020 survey to identify priority areas for the current decade, and regional comparisons.

Describe the Rural Healthy People project. List the priority areas for their region. Discuss how these results fit with their knowledge of rural needs in their states.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I was part of the original creative team at the Texas A&M University School of Rural Public Health that created Rural Healthy People 2010. I am currently co-Director with Dr. Jane N. Bolin of Rural Healthy People 2020, a joint effort between the SRPH and Florida State University College of Medicine. I have been involved in rural health and policy research for ove 20 years, in three states (TX, WV, and FL).
