This presentation will describe the epidemic of gun violence in America and explain strategies that the gun violence prevention movement can employ to measurably reduce gun violence. It will explain the current state of gun violence prevention and gun violence prevention organizations in the U.S., compare the situation in the U.S. to other developed nations (specifically with regards to public support versus government action), and discuss best practices in how to reduce gun violence on the local, state, and federal level.
