Embracing border health as part of public health in Arizona

Arizona addresses border and cross-border health issues with Sonora, México via the Health Services Committee of the Arizona-México Commission, a unique cross-border partnership between the two states. Examples of intersection with Arizona Public Health Association will be shared.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Susan Kunz, MPH, is the Chief of Health and Wellness (known as Platicamos Salud) at Mariposa Community Health Center in Nogales, Arizona. In that capacity, she oversees community health and public health services for the largely Hispanic/Latino population of Santa Cruz County on the US-México border. Susan has worked in the US-Mexico border region for the past 32 years, with both Hispanic/Latino communities and tribal communities, including as Executive Director of the Border Health Foundation.
