Biographical Sketch:
Lundy Braun is Royce Family Professor in Teaching Excellence and Professor of Medical Science and Africana Studies and a member of the Program on Science and Technology Studies at Brown University. Her current research focuses on the history of race, science, and health disparities. Her monograph Breathing Race into the Machine: The Surprising Career of the Spirometer From Plantation to Genetics, will be published in January by the University of Minnesota Press.
