Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I received my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, then spent 28 years with the San Francisco Health Department, as Director of the Substance Abuse Division, and as Assistant Director of Mental Health Programs. Since 2002, I have been Director of the Monterey County Behavioral Health Division. I have been Principal Investigator and co-researcher on numerous(HHS) research and program grants. Areas of research and practice include prevention of HIV, gang violence, supportive housing and Mental Health Promotion.
