Explain occupational health aspects of the current Farm Bill and how program cuts would impact farmworkers.
Identify opportunities for urban and rural communities to join together and advocate for a healthier Farm Bill that will provide better health to farmworkers and communities.
Describe how a coalition of allies from various public health backgrounds including occupational and environmental health to further future advocacy around a reformed Farm Bill.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Bryn Bird is the community outreach coordinator for Rural Coalition a national non-profit advocating for 70 grassroot member organizations that primarily serve socially disadvantaged producers and underserved rural communities. Bryn is also a co-owner of her family’s specialty crop farm in central Ohio. Bryn draws from her own experiences as a family farmer and her desire for all agriculture producers the opportunity for an environmentally sustainable and economically viable family operation.
