Medical implications of the nuclear age

Nuclear arsenals on hair trigger still threaten existence of life on the planet with a nuclear winter. Nuclear power plants and waste dumps all over the world provide a threat of catastrophic accidents and long term environmental hazards of ionizing radiation.
