Defining evidence

It is appropriate for participants who have basic knowledge of evidence-based interventions and want training to locate resources for evidence-based strategies or programs. This first session will define evidence, introduce important targets of evidence-based approaches, and criteria to consider when searching for evidence-based approaches. This content addresses challenges with defining evidence, determining benefits and challenges associated with using different types of evidence, and using evidence-based strategies, interventions and policies to improve delivery, acceptance, and effectiveness of chronic disease prevention and control programming.
