With the support of experts, participants will work in small groups to brainstorm opportunities to engage youth in policy change efforts in their communities, identify a best practice they want to try and describe how they would apply it. Participants will also share anticipated or actual challenges and receive ideas for addressing them from expert facilitators and panelists and group members. Small groups will reconvene as a large group to debrief and share insights and questions with one another.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have supported youth to engage in policy change efforts for 13 years. As Senior Trainer and Manager at Health Resources in Action, I have provided trainings, coaching and technical assistance to hundreds of youth and adults over the last five years. Prior, as Executive Director of the Boston-area Youth Organizing Project, I supported youth predominantly from low-income, communities of color to win policy change victories.
