Prevention Works: A public health approach to preventing violence that affects youth

As part of a session on youth violence prevention at the national and local level, I will be presenting the public health perspective from the Centers for Disease Control. I will review national picture of youth violence, the priorities and strategies for prevention at the CDC, and discussion the collaboration of the CDC with other federal agencies and with local health departments in larger urban centers.
