Biographical Sketch: Jessica D. Bellinger, PhD, MPH
Jessica D. Bellinger is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Policy and Management, Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina and serves on the research faculty of the South Carolina Rural Health Research Center.
Her work explores rural health disparities, cancer prevention and control, and feasible health policy solutions for increasing access to care for underserved and minority populations. Specific to cervical cancer, she has developed a research agenda examining mortality disparities in minority, underserved, and vulnerable populations. Using an integrated framework to explore women’s preferences and utilization of cervical cancer prevention and control services, Dr. Bellinger’s work supports policy and practice recommendations to improve quality and delivery of preventive services to vulnerable populations.
A Spelman College alumna, she received a MPH in Health Administration and a PhD in Health Services Policy and Management from the University of South Carolina.
