Biographical Sketch: Stephen Borders is an Associate Professor of Health Care Administration at Grand Valley State University where he also serves as Director of the MHA program. Prior to his position at GVSU, he served as an Acute Care Policy Analyst for the Texas Medicaid Program. During his PhD program at Texas A&M University, he worked as a Research Associate at the Public Policy Research Institute where he conducted a number of evaluations of the Texas non-emergency medical transportation program, the Texas Medicaid managed care program and an evaluation of the non-poor uninsured in Texas. Currently he teaches courses in health policy, health care finance and research methods at GVSU.
