Biographical Sketch: Jim Wilson is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Geography at Northern Illinois University, where he teaches health geography, maps and mapping, and environment and society. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill. He has previously worked as a research associate and associate director of East Carolina University’s Health Systems Research and Development and GIS unit manager for North Carolina’s State Center for Health Statistics.
