Biographical Sketch:
Nancy Cheak-Zamora, PhD, recently joined the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program in the School of Health Professions at the University of Missouri. She received her Ph.D. in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Management and Policy from the Saint Louis University and a M.A. in Health Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos. While obtaining her Masters and Ph.D., Nancy worked in both clinical and academic setting conducting research in HIV care, health communication and literacy and examination of health status and health insurance duration. Her research centers on the utilization of complex measurement tools to evaluate health status and health disparities in the uninsured, in the chronically ill, and within various populations with limited access to health care. Other areas of interest include HIV prevention and care, autism research and health policy.
