Biographical Sketch: Tom Greenfield, PhD, is Scientific Director of the Alcohol Research Group (ARG) of PHI. Since 1999 has directed ARG’s NIAAA-sponsored National Alcohol Research Center. He is also core faculty in the Clinical Services Research Training Program at UCSF Dept. Psychiatry. Educated at Caltech, MIT and Univ. Michigan, earlier he directed research at the Marin Institute. He has directed numerous NIAAA-funded projects including two on alcohol and mortality. He currently serves on NIAAA's Extramural Advisory Board.
