Biographical Sketch:
I am a social epidemiologist, gerontologist, and health services researcher. I am Assistant Professor at Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Indianapolis, IN. I have been working in health and behavior research for more than 25 years. I have an MPH degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. My work centers on health disparities in mature and older adults, especially physical and psychosocial environmental determinants of disparities among older urban adults, health effects of discrimination, and the relationship of physical, mental, and cognitive health.
