Biographical Sketch: Dr. Giesbrecht is a Senior Scientist, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto, and an Associate Professor, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. His research focuses on: impacts of policies on drinking-related harm, assessments of the policy development processes, impacts of drinking patterns on trauma and chronic disease, community-based prevention strategies, and reduction of risk-taking contexts and activities. He was ATOD Section Chair, 2000-2002, was the Chair, Publications Board, APHA, 2007-2011.
