Biographical Sketch:
Shari Kessel Schneider, M.S.P.H. is a Senior Research Associate in the Health and Human Development Division at Education Development Center, Inc. She has extensive experience in survey and evaluation research, with a focus on adolescent health and the prevention of risk-taking behaviors. Ms. Schneider has directed several large multi-site, school-based research initiatives including the MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey, a biennial regional census of youth in 25 communities initiated in 2006. She also has experience in the development and evaluation of interventions aimed at reducing youth risk behaviors, including drinking and driving and teen pregnancy. Previously, Ms. Schneider was responsible for the Massachusetts Youth Risk Behavior Survey and School Health Education Profiles Survey in her role as HIV/AIDS Research Coordinator at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Ms. Schneider received her Sc. B. in Psychology at Brown University and her M.S.P.H. in Health and Social Behavior at the Harvard University School of Public Health.
