Biographical Sketch: Ms. Middleton is currently a Nurse Specialist, Research within the Nursing Research and Translational Science Service of the Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She serves as database manager and Associate Investigator on clinical trials specializing in health behavior, emphasizing survey methodology and measurement in vulnerable populations.
Ms. Middleton holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and has over 12 years of experience within the field of public health. Prior to beginning her career with NIH, she worked as a Health Scientist for the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) focusing on establishment based surveys related to pediatric emergency department preparedness and ambulatory care. She has also served as epidemiology coordinator and maternal/child health epidemiologist providing surveillance activities at state and local health agencies.
Additionally, Ms. Middleton holds a BS in Nursing from Howard University, and has worked in the field of nursing for over 19 years. She stays current in the field by serving as adjunct nursing faculty at Howard Community College.
