Biographical Sketch: Basia Belza, PhD, RN, FAAN is a professor in the School of Nursing and an investigator with the Health Promotion Research Center at UW. She is the Aljoya Endowed Professor in Aging. As lead of the Coordinating Center for the CDC-funded Healthy Aging Research Network, Dr. Belza oversees regional and national initiatives including several funded studies on environmental and policy change for healthy aging.
