Biographical Sketch:
Leah is the Associate Director of the Adolescent Community Health Research Group in the Department of Psychology and Program Manager of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program DePaul University Leah has been working in the field of public health, specifically HIV/AIDS for over twelve years. Her evaluation work has focused on training, program implementation/design, & organizational development and communication . Leah spent many years coordinating and directing many large-scale federally funded research and practice projects. Over the past seven years, Leah has risen to co-direct large-scale HIV prevention efforts in Kenya, focusing on HIV prevention for youth through a organizational capacity-building, in-class curriculum and a social media campaign. In addition to work in HIV/AIDS, Leah collaborates with many local Chicago, state and Kenyan-based community partners on a variety of different projects. Leah has active leadership roles in the American Evaluation Association (AEA) & Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE). She is currently a doctoral candidate at National Louis University pursuing research interests in training & residential learning programs within the fields of adult and contiuing education.
