Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Walker is an Assistant Professor of Health Education and Promotion at Georgia Southern University. At Georgia Southern she serves as the co-faculty advisor for Eta Sigma Gamma she is also a certified health education specialist and has worked in a variety of health education settings including college health at Texas A&M University and corporate wellness at The Boeing Company. Prior to her arrival to Georgia Southern, she was an Assistant Professor at University of Northern Colorado and affliate faculty with the Colorado School of Public Health. Her research interests include community-based participatory research, social determinants of health, and service-learning. She completed her terminal degree at Texas Woman’s University in Health Studies specializing in community health.
