Biographical Sketch: Lainie Rutkow, J.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., is Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Assistant Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Law and the Public’s Health. Dr. Rutkow's work focuses on the use of law as a tool to protect and promote the public’s health. She has authored numerous articles in the fields of emergency preparedness, injury and violence prevention, and the regulation of corporations.
