Biographical Sketch: Dr. Ziming Xuan is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Community Health Sciences at Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Xuan is trained as a social epidemiologist who is interested in understanding the long-term influence of social-contextual determinants on health and health-related issues (i.e. addictions), especially among vulnerable populations. His current research interest focuses on: 1) understanding the association between state-level adult alcohol consumption and youth binge drinking at individual level; 2) evaluating the impact of comprehensive state-level alcohol policies on alcohol consumption especially as related to youth binge drinking.
