Biographical Sketch: Dr. Jason D. Coleman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He earned his Master of Science in Public Health and Doctor of Philosophy in degrees in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. Previously, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia, focused on health education and HIV prevention. Dr. Coleman’s research experience and focus are in the areas of HIV prevention, program evaluation, and capacity building for community- and faith-based organizations. Dr. Coleman also conducts research in LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) health.
