Biographical Sketch: In his role as Chief Innovation Officer, James O’Leary works to foster innovation within Genetic Alliance and the community at large. James has worked over the past six years at Genetic Alliance to build collaborations between diverse stakeholders. He uses his experience in community health, grassroots action, and genetics to advance the goal of better health for individuals, families, and communities. As the past chair of the American Public Health Association Genomics Forum, he works to integrate genetics into public health and redefine the way patients are informed, engaged, and empowered. A graduate of the University of Delaware, James earned a BS in Biology, concentrating in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Genetics, and is currently an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
