Biographical Sketch:
As Campaign Alliances Advisor at Oxfam America, Sarah Kalloch manages Oxfam’s Sisters on the Planet Ambassador program, which unites 270+ leading American women—including Members of Congress, Nobel Peace Prize Winners, business and non-profit leaders—in advocacy to end hunger, poverty and injustice worldwide. Sarah also manages innovative advocacy partnerships with national organizations and builds Oxfam’s voice on women’s rights, food justice and national security and poverty issues. Sarah comes to Oxfam from Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), where she served as Outreach and Constituency Organizing Director. In this role, Sarah spearheaded PHR's efforts to build a movement of doctors, nurses, public health practitioners, researchers, students and others dedicated to health and human rights. Before serving as Director of Outreach, Sarah coordinated PHR's groundbreaking partnerships in East Africa, working with health professional leaders to found two NGOs in Uganda and Kenya that engage health workers in innovative AIDS and health rights advocacy.
