Biographical Sketch: Dr. Cho is Associate Professor of Community and Behavioral Health Promotion in the Zilber School of Public Health, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a scientist at the Center for Addiction and Behavioral Health Research. His current research interests include assessment of substance abuse risk factors among minority populations, and evaluation of effective substance abuse intervention and treatment programs. He is particularly interested in studying contextual effects of neighborhoods on substance abuse and the effectiveness of substance abuse treatment. He received his doctorate in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and he was a research faculty member at the Survey Research Laboratory of the same university for 12 years before joining UWM in 2011.
