Biographical Sketch: Melissa C Mercado Crespo has served in the non-profit, public and private sectors as a public health researcher and communications specialist. She is completing her PhD-Public Health degree at the University of South Florida, specializing in youth violence research and prevention. She is also a Research Associate at the Harrell Center for the Study of Family Violence, an undergraduate Instructor, an APHA MCH Student Fellow, and a MCH Leadership Trainee alumnus.
