Biographical Sketch: Meredith Minkler is Professor and Director of Health and Social Behavior at the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley, where she founded the UC Center on Aging. Her research includes participatory research with marginalized groups and its impacts on policy. She has co-authored or edited 8 books on critical gerontology, grandparent caregiving, community -based participatory research and in 2012, the third edition of Community Organizing and Community Building for Health and Welfare.
