Biographical Sketch: Deborah John, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in Oregon State University's College of Public Health and Human Sciences, School of Biological and Population Health Sciences, and faculty in Extension’s Family and Community Health program. Dr. John serves as principal investigator and academic partner for the engAGE in Community initiative. She has developed and evaluated the effectiveness of the MAPPS tool to address questions of health and rural place.
