Biographical Sketch: Hoa (pronounce like WA) Appel completed her National Institute of Mental Health postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle. While there, Dr. Appel worked closely with Dr. David Takeuchi and the National Latino and Asian American Studies dataset. Her research examines racial and ethnic health disparities, and mental health care in minority populations. Currently, Dr. Appel collaborates with Dr. Amy Ai in research on minority health care.
