Biographical Sketch: Siri Suh is a doctoral candidate in sociomedical sciences at Columbia University. As a medical sociologist, her research interests revolve around gender, reproduction and the medical profession. Her dissertation research explores the negotiation of medical jurisdiction over abortion in Senegal, where this practice is legally restricted. Prior to her doctoral work, Siri provided technical assistance to the national post-abortion care program in Senegal as a University of Michigan Population Fellow.
