Biographical Sketch: Dr. George is at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Charles Drew University in Los Angeles and the Department of Community Health Sciences at the School of Public Health, UCLA. Her current research focuses on health communication and health information seeking, particularly at the intersections of technology and health – in terms of how patients, providers and community health care organizations in underserved areas with “the digital divide” perceive and experience new health information technologies.
