Biographical Sketch: Dr. Panelo is an Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. His research and academic interests include public health, health economics, health care management and policy. Dr. Panelo is also involved with implementing universal health care in the Philippines. He finished his medical degree in 1999 and his Masters in Economics in 2002, both from the University of the Philippines.
