Biographical Sketch: Leonard Ortmann holds a BA and PhD in philosophy from Yale University and the Pennsylvania State University, respectively. He has taught ethics at a number of academic institutions; most recently, he was senior associate for programs at the Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care. Currently, he serves as a public health ethicist in the Office of the Associate Director for Science, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
