Biographical Sketch: Dr. Carnell has over 25 years of experience in maternal, newborn and child health in every geographic area of the world. She is a physician with MPH who completed her residency in Preventive Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She lived 15 years overseas as Director of USAID funded projects in Bangladesh, Madagascar and Ethiopia and resides in USA since 2006. She currently directs JSI's Center for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health.
