Biographical Sketch: Liana Gefter is a Stanford trained physician working in Stanford's Center for Education and Research in Family and Community Medicine. Prior to medical school, Liana was a Teach for America corp member, teaching elementary and middle school for three years in East Palo Alto, CA. The Stanford Youth Diabetes Coaches Program bridges her passion for improving public education and public health in our country. She is currently pursuing an MPH degree at UC Berkeley.
