Biographical Sketch: Janine Cataldo is an Assistant Professor of Physiological Nursing at UCSF. She is an international expert in lung cancer stigma, developed the Cataldo Lung Cancer Stigma Scale, and investigates the impact of stigma on symptom burden. Cati Brown is an applied linguist and postdoctoral fellow at UCSF's center for tobacco control research and education. She investigates patients' use of language to construct or mitigate stigma, tobacco industry targeting of low income women.
