Biographical Sketch: Kathryn Pitkin Derose, Ph.D., M.P.H. is senior policy researcher at the RAND Corporation and focuses on understanding healthcare inequalities and developing community-based and policy solutions to address them. Currently, her research focuses on: improving faith-based organizations’ capacity to address HIV, mental health, and substance use issues; addressing the food insecurity of people with HIV in Latin America; promoting community physical activity with local parks, and addressing the healthcare needs of immigrants and other vulnerable populations.
