Biographical Sketch: Nate Raines is a second year medical student at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, NY. He has been working with the epidemic chronic kidney disease in northwest Nicaragua for the past two years, and spearheaded Mount Sinai's growing involvement in research and intervention into this public health crisis. Nate formerly worked for the National Children's Study investigating environmental causes of children's diseases. He hails from Arlington, VA and attended Dartmouth College.
