Biographical Sketch: Andrew Pleasant’s ongoing professional practice and research addresses health literacy; science, risk, and environmental communication; and social marketing.
Andrew serves as health literacy and research director at Canyon Ranch Institute, an operating 501c3 located in Tucson, AZ. Andrew is responsible for advancing the role of health literacy across Canyon Ranch Institute activities, including in current partnerships and programs, as well as in planning future activities. He also leads all research and evaluation activities at Canyon Ranch Institute, is the program manager for the Life Enhancement Program, Canyon Ranch Institute’s partnership with Time to Talk CARDIO, Canyon Ranch Institute's partnership with BSCS, and is leading the launch of an innovative use of the arts to address health literacy and public health in Peru.
