Biographical Sketch: Dr. Gopal Sankaran’s education, training and experience span three interrelated health professions—medicine, public health, and health promotion. His professional interests include exploring issues related to transcultural health, urban health, applied epidemiology, and academic and healthcare leadership. Dr. Sankaran completed a Community Medicine residency and is board certified in Integrated Maternal and Child Health. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees in public health from the University of California at Berkeley.
