Biographical Sketch: Dean of the University of Washington School of Public Health, and former director of the CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. Longstanding interest in the health benefits of nature contact. Serves on the Boards of the Children and Nature Network, the Bullitt Foundation, and the U.S. Green Building Council, on the Executive Committee for the Puget Sound Regional Open Space Strategy, and on other committees.
