Biographical Sketch: Rachel Hart-Malloy received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from New York Medical College in 2008 and has been pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the University at Albany School of Public Health since that time. In the beginning of 2010, she joined the AIDS Institute at the New York State Department of Health and has dedicated her work and doctoral research to pursuing an estimate of the burden of hepatitis C in New York State. In addition to the work presented today, she is also developing state-level estimates on hepatitis C incidence, morbidity and mortality.
