Biographical Sketch: Dr. Hyeouk Chris Hahm is Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice and Social Research at Boston University’s School of Social Work. In her current Asian-American Women’s Sexual Health Initiative Project, she is doing research on various aspects of social epidemiology, particularly the influence of culture, gender roles, and disparities in relationship power, and their association with HIV/STIs risk behaviors. She is committed to translating her findings into HIV/STIs interventions for API communities. Her long-term goal and passion is to develop culturally relevant HIV/STIs prevention strategies and innovative service delivery interventions for urban ethnic minority and immigrant women.
